Life moves swiftly and we run frantically to keep up with it. Just the other day, a friend laughed at me for trying to lift a three-pound weight to exercise my arms, while I was blow drying my hair. I was shocked at her reaction. Doesn't everyone multi-task like that? I didn't dare tell her that I actually answer a few e-mails every time she calls and stays on the phone too long! Such constant motion indicates that we may not be pausing enough to regularly examine our lives or ask ourselves how our lives mirror what God desires for us. Today, I challenge you to pause and evaluate your life's pace. Are you exhausted by expectations or thriving in your purpose? Let's take a look at two extreme types of women that you and I have either met or may have even become ourselves! Read More
"Growing in Your Relationship with God"
By Jennifer Bennett
Do you remember how you felt the first time you fell in love? Odds are, you smiled a lot and longed to spend more time with your loved one. When you think about your growing relationship with God, do you notice that, in many ways, it resembles the relationship of couples in love? They love learning more about each other. When they can't see each other, they miss each other; their hearts long for their mate with excitement and anticipation. Read More

Thank you so much for posting these articles. I'm new to your blog and this was wonderful, helpful information!
I am not a mother myself, so I stay busy, but not like working moms I know. I will pass your information along to my "worn out" friends.
The second article really hit home to me as I have not been as close to God recently. I try to speak to him more frequently during the day and I am good about surrounding myself with friends that are good examples, but in the other aspects, I admit to being lazy lately. I haven't been in the Word nearly as much as I should, opting to grab for other books I'm currently reading for "entertain" myself instead of growing myself in Him.

Thank you for your comment!!
Like you I desire to spend more time with God, but often allow other "things" to crowd out that special time. Recently I came across a new book, "Sacred Obsession" by Becky Tirabassi. It has quickly become one of my favorite books! Her premise is what we chase after we become. I would highly recommend the book to anyone who wants to grow in their relationship with God.
I'll be blogging about "Sacred Obsession" soon. Hopefully we can challenge one another to grow spiritually!!
I enjoy reading your blog and want to encourage you to continue encouraging me. Recently the book, Scared Obsession was recommended to me. I am anxious to read it and was delighted that it was a 'little' book but I'm just guessing that it will contain a 'big' message.
happy4u,
Thank you for your comment. Yes, "Sacred Obsession" is a small book with a HUGE message that will ignite a passion and excitement in everyone to spend more time with God.
happy4u, I hope you'll dialogue with us when we start reading the book together!!
Blessings!!
This article was so great; it made me stop and realize how much I multitask. Not that that is such a bad thing, but maybe I am not getting the full value out of things... I am not married, so I can only imagine the added busy-ness that will be in my life when I do have a family. It gives me a lot to think about in efforts of getting things in my life the way that God wants them, not what I think He wants for me.
